Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will oversee the RRB NTPC 2021 exam to hire candidates for Non-Technical Popular Categories. RRB NTPC Job Profiles
Railway Recruitment Board has divided various posts into two categories. First is the Undergraduate Posts, i.e. candidates who have done studies till Class 12th only. The second category is the Graduate level posts. The RRB NTPC job profile for various posts is as follows:
Undergraduate Level Posts and their Job Profiles
- Junior Clerk cum Typist: The candidate has been assigned the following Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be assisting the Senior Clerks in the day to day workings.
- The candidate will be responsible for the complete data entry required.
- Accounts Clerk cum Typist: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities:
- The candidate will be a part of the Accounts and Finance team.
- The candidate will be keeping a track record of all the transactions taking place.
- The candidate will be responsible for the data entry and other associated works required by the department.
- The candidate will be helping in the administrative work of the department.
- Junior Time Keeper: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate will be reporting to the Senior Time Keeper.
- The candidate will be assisting the Senior Time Keeper in maintaining records of arrival/departure of trains.
- The candidate is required to work in various shifts.
- Trains Clerk: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate is required to maintain public records related to trains and their conditions.
- The candidate is responsible for keeping track of the number of coaches in various trains.
- Commercial cum Ticket Clerk: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities:
- The candidate is responsible for issuing tickets to passengers through CRS and UTS software.
- The candidate is required to keep and maintain track records related to luggage.
Graduate Level Post and their Job Profiles
- Traffic Assistant: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate is required to take complete care of traffic and signal of railways.
- The candidate should be flexible enough to work in shifts.
- Goods Guard: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate has to monitor the functioning of the railways and other vehicles.
- The candidate will be conducting checks for the loose ends in the trains.
- The candidate should be able to identify and address minor issues during the movement of the train.
- The candidate is required to work with the Station Master and communicate information relating to the arrival and departure of the train.
- Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate will be required to work in the Ticket Booking office.
- The candidate will be responsible for commercial checking and issuing of tickets.
- The candidate will be booking goods and luggage.
- Senior Clerk cum Typist: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate will have to monitor the work of the Junior Clerk cum typist.
- The candidate will be responsible for clerical appointments in different departments.
- Junior Account Assistant cum Typist: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate will be taking care of Accounts.
- The candidate is required to keep track of transactions, expenditures, claim settlements, and other activities.
- The candidate will be preparing all accounts related reports.
- The candidate will be required to manage and compile budgets as per rules.
- The candidate will keep a check on financial irregularities.
- The candidate will be required to support all administrative tasks in the accounts department.
- Senior Time Keeper: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate will be required to work in sync with the entire railway network.
- The candidate will be keeping records of time regarding the movements of the train.
- The candidate will be working in different shift timings.
- Commercial Apprentice: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate is required to work as a multi-skilled supervisor in the commercial branches.
- The candidate will be offered any one of Commercial Supervisor, Goods Supervisor, Commercial Inspector, or Parcel Supervisor.
- Station Master: The candidate has been assigned the following job responsibilities by the department:
- The candidate supervises all the activities of the railway station.
- The candidate is responsible for the smooth and timely arrival and departure of trains.
- The candidate is responsible for the safety of passengers and ensures the passengers do not face any problems.
